We have been spreading Spring Cheer!

We have been spreading Spring Cheer!

Ahead of Mother’s Day, we have been making “Spring Cheer” deliveries to celebrate the incredible women connected with the charity Home-Start. We shared seasonal planted containers as a small gesture of appreciation for mums and volunteers.

Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support, helping families with young children through challenging times. Their work provides practical help, emotional support and a welcoming community for parents who may otherwise feel isolated.

The first visit took place with Home-Start Suffolk in Ipswich, where 20 Spring Cheer containers were delivered to mums attending a family support group. The room was filled with laughter, conversation and connection as the group came together to share the moment.

Further visits took place at Home-Start Essex and Home-Start Colchester, continuing the effort to spread a little seasonal cheer and say thank you to the women who volunteer their time to give so much to local families and communities.

Louise Smith, Senior Communications Manager, said: “What a delightful few days I’ve had delivering some Spring Cheer. At each destination, the room was full of laughter and warmth. It was such a joy to bring a little moment of happiness and to remind these incredible volunteers and mums how valued they are, both as women and as mothers. We know that plants always bring joy, so with Mother’s Day approaching, it felt like the perfect opportunity to say thank you.”

As Mother’s Day approaches, we hope to shine a light on the importance of community support networks like Home-Start and the difference they make to families every day.
