A big thank you to everyone who took part in our recent Perrywood garden customer survey. We loved reading your responses and learning more about how you use and enjoy your gardens.

Your feedback helps us shape our events, displays and advice throughout the year — and it’s clear that gardens play a very special role in many of your lives.

Your garden really is your happy place

One of the biggest things we learned is just how much you love spending time in your garden.

An incredible 95% of respondents said they enjoy spending time in their garden, with many saying they enjoy it all the time. Whether it's relaxing outdoors, gardening, or spending time with family, your garden is clearly an important part of everyday life.

This insight has helped inspire our theme for the year:

We want to help you make the most of your outdoor space — whatever size it may be — and create a garden that works perfectly for you.

Gardens of all shapes and sizes

Most respondents told us they have small to medium-sized gardens, while others care for larger spaces, patios or courtyards.

This tells us that good garden inspiration matters for every type of space. Whether you have a compact garden or a large plot, we’ll be sharing ideas and displays to help you make the most of it.

How you love using your garden

Your answers showed that gardens are used for far more than just gardening. They are places to relax, enjoy nature and spend time outdoors.

Many of you also told us you simply enjoy looking out at your garden from inside the house, which shows how important planting and seasonal colour can be.

Almost everyone who responded agreed that spending time outdoors in nature benefits health and wellbeing.

Many of you described your garden as a place for relaxation, therapy, exercise or simply a quiet moment away from busy daily life — something we completely understand.

When asked about your ideal garden, some clear themes emerged. Many of you are looking for gardens that are:
